An Intimate Wedding: Unique Collaboration

Updated: Nov 16

This wedding season we thought of giving the usual nuptials and the associated revelries a fresh perspective, rather a twist. We conceptualized and curated a string of conventional celebrations weaving together the elements of a non-conventional wedding with the closest of your clan in a quirky format - An Intimate Wedding.

In order to do achieve this objective, it was imperative to approach veterans from the wedding domain, whose thoughts resonated with the idea of re-styling the weddings in line with the #newnormal. Each one of them brought along their expertise and experience to reinforce the fact that intimate weddings, though small, can still make a big impact and one can have memories to cherish for a lifetime.

As planners, our primary task was to scout for an ideal location boding well with the theme and ideation of the shoot - tranquil natural surroundings and eco-conscious celebrations. The Gateway Resort Damdama Lake fitted the bill perfectly. It’s proximity to Delhi, an extremely amiable & cooperative team and being equipped with all the modern facilities, it became an instinctive choice for this one of its kind event.

Having said that, we bet this intimate wedding inspiration is all you would need for your mood boards. So without further ado, let’s dive right into the deets of this exquisite shoot that’s brimming with truckloads of pin-worthy ideas.

The Effervescent Haldi

What’s better than a laid back yet, flamboyant sit-down picnic feel to a usually traditional Haldi ceremony? Set amidst lush greens beneath the sun shining skies, the elegant Boho décor boasted of all things whimsical. Fashioned in tones of white and yellow, the setup was crafted with rugs, macramé cushions, low-rise wooden table, pouffes, wicker baskets, classy tableware, and lots of blooms & foliage.

Macaroons, cheese, slices of bread, and champagne added the romance to this classic haldi ceremony turning it into a neo-traditional affair.

The ‘Rustic Meets Glamour’ Wedding

A sundowner revelry blossoming with a surreal blend of rustic aesthetics and a dash of glam, the wedding set up was nothing short of a fantasy coming alive. The Couple-Seat surrounded by pampas, sorbet-hued flowers, greens, and candle lanterns made for a glam vows backdrop!

The groom, donning a sage green sherwani, and his gang danced the baraat away with all the sho-sha up to the wedding stage in a vintage car, while the bride walked the aisle in a heavily embellished pastel pink lehenga teamed up with glorious polka jewels.

The Lavish Reception Dinner

For the reception dinner, a huge bedecked table was set up right under a tree that was adorned with red crystal chandeliers. The vast table décor was an elegant infusion of terracotta vases, classy tableware, candles, and of course, a yummy reception cake.

The entire tribe’s style statement was on fleek while they celebrated the couple in each other’s warm company and a tasteful setting.

Takeaway!

Having an intimate wedding doesn’t mean that it can’t be ‘the wedding of your dreams’. If extravagance and splendor are what you had always desired for your soiree, you can have it even in an intimate setup. And this shoot is a testimony to how it’s done!

This intimate wedding shoot not just added value to our years of wedding planning as an organization but also provided a platform to promote and present wedding ideas visually to our potential clients and help them pick and choose their choices from the styles and themes depicted.
